Unlike a lot of Montana fly fishing websites, here you won't find constant claims of being the "Best Guides in Montana", or harboring an ability to fish "All Rivers and Lakes in the state better than any Guide ever." What my site does provide is a brief description of the waters I guide, a short and by all accounts humble biography of myself, testimonials or photos from some of my clients, a current fishing report / updates page, and a full rate schedule. Craig, Montana is an unincorporated town of less than 80 hearty residents. In the past 100 years not much has changed. However, the town's proximity to the world class Missouri River brings anglers from around the world to this tiny hamlet from March through October. Why Craig and the Missouri River you ask? Consistent dry fly fishing for large wild Trout on the rich and languid waters of Lewis and Clark's Missouri. While the River is a great nymph fishery, I prefer to target rising Trout with dry flies.
While my guide service operates out of Craig I offer guided fly fishing for residents and visitors of nearby Great Falls and Helena. I am a fully licensed and insured Montana Fly Fishing guide and outfitter, and I operate state of the art equipment in a friendly and patient atmosphere.
